One of the Swedish wedding traditions when it comes to weddings and engagements is that both men and women exchange rings when they get engaged. Typically a plain golden band ring. Then the women only get a ring at the wedding ceremony.
But here we had a little variation and the traditional golden band became a silver Bottega Veneta's ring that has a flavour of adventure.
When our future Swedish groom saw this ring at Bottega Veneta store in Stockholm he said "yes! " to the ring. Unfortunately there were nowhere his size to be found despite the store's staff efforts to connect with other stores around Europe in the hope to find the right size.
This was not to defeat our groom to be. He contacted Bottega Veneta's head quarter directly and explained the whole story and how he fell in love with Bottega Veneta's brand that started at the beautiful St Régis Hotel's Bottega Veneta suite in Rome in Italy during his engagement holidays. He stayed with his fiancée at the Bottega Veneta's suite which ever since has carved their minds and bodies' memory with the suite's exceptional vibrations. The noble materials of the fabrics, the silky heavy curtains, the stony floor, the wooden fournitures and the room finishes of leather weaved Bottega Veneta, named "intrecciato", designed accessories seating at the desk, around the lounge to the bedroom, were all guilty of holding our fiancées' senses addicted to these feelings.
Whereas he had sent his email to the head quarter without much hope, it is a mesmerized groom to be who got a personal answer from Bottega Veneta's Creative Director, then Tomas Maier, himself with a one line email saying "consider it done".
Few hours later our groom got to know that the store in Japan had his ring at his size, which was already on its way to our groom's home.
